Message I know the TPS sends voltage readings to ECU re: Throttle plate opening angles. Does then the ECU the ECU send duty cycle instructions to AAC based on TPS? Or is there another factor involved?

It appears, the AAC bridges the gap from an open throttle plate to a completely closed throttle plate. The rate in air volume reduction is controlled by the ECU signal AAC duty cycle which eventually ends up at the bottom range of 15-20% duty cycle rate.

My theory is the engine power-off transition would be smoother if, when the throttle plates are shut closed, airflow through the throttle bodies is substituted by a more gradual reduction of airflow provided by the AAC.

What I do not know is whether the AAC default position open, or closed? Or whether there is another factor gradually smoothing out the on/off throttle transition?
